Structure:
This class is 60 minutes long, and is offered in person on Mondays at 7PM periodically throughout the year.
Our next session begins 9/14. Channel your inner monster (literally), building a campy-to-sultry striptease for Inappropriate Song Night, mashing up Monster Mash, Ginuwine's Pony and Britney's Toxic.
This is a group-built number: choreography, character choices, and staging will develop collaboratively across the class.
Description:
The experimental burlesque student troupe likes to get weird and sexy! Have a veritable boatload of fun with other dancers from the studio and learn a variety of burlesque routines from sexy chair dances, raunchy floorwork routines to funny routines as male strippers, drag queens and more. This troupe mostly performs for our in-house event called Inappropriate Song Night.
Purchase or acquisition of a basic costume will be required, between $10 and $50 per performance. Arielle recommends at least eight weeks of Fundamentals of Belly Dance followed by 8 weeks of Burlesque Fundamentals before attending this class, but it’s not required.
There is no audition for this troupe.
Cost:
The cost for the previous session was $90 for 9 weeks. We’ll update this when we know how long the next session will be!
